Description
Phenol red is used for pH measurement.
The tablet produces characteristic color changes when dissolved in the water sample.
The pH is important for the disinfecting effect of water care products.
It can also lead to corrosion or deposits, thus damaging materials.
Lovibond® tablets contain thiosulfate to compensate for the disruptive influence of chlorine on measurements during pool water analysis.
In addition, carbonate levels, temperature and the buffering capacity of the water sample can influence the measurement and must therefore also be monitored. This tablet has been designed for use in photometers.
