Usefulness of the backflow preventer siphon

The backflow preventer siphon is installed in cases where odours come up from the sewer, septic tank, micro-station or sump into the home via drains: shower, sink, washbasin, sink... whose siphons are not perfectly watertight (example: walk-in showers whose siphon is ultra flat). Like the nose flap, it isolates the house from the sewer system.

Montage

The backflow preventer siphon is installed on the wastewater outlet pipe, either in the crawl space or outside the house, before the sewerage system (in which case it is necessary to dig to find the pipe).
